Temporary Roadways - Safety and Security Combined

Introducing Dura-Base.

If your temporary roadway or work platform calls for strength, durability and versatility, Dura-Base Composite Plastic Mat System is your No 1 choice.

Dura-base matting in use

Manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, Dura-Base mats provide the ultimate in temporary road surfaces.  When you need access to difficult terrain such as grasslands, wetlands, marshland, fields, or any other environmentally sensitive area, Dura-Base provides a lasting, cost effective solution.

Eliminating Theft

The use of traditional aluminium roadway panels is fraught with problems, none more so than the security issue.  Aluminium is a very valuable commodity with a high scrap value.  It is light-weight and can easily be stolen from your sites.  Contractors are forced to spend considerable sums of money on security measures to prevent the theft of their aluminium panels.

When you choose the Dura-Base Composite Mat System for your roadway or working platforms, you can concentrate on your job in hand, not on costly security measures.

Because the Dura-Base mats are manufactured from plastic, they are rugged and durable, yet are of no interest to opportunist thieves.  Using the Dura-Base Composite Mat System for your temporary roadway means you will make considerable savings on security measures, as well as reducing your insurance costs.

All Dura-Base mats also have an inbuilt RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) chip which will improve the efficiency of your inventory tracking and management.

The Dura-Base Composite Mat Systems really will let you eliminate theft from your sites.

Reasons to Choose Dura-Base

• Eliminates security risks
• Consistent strength over all mats
• Interlocking panels for safety and efficiency
• Suitable for all types of terrain
• Durable and reusable
• Kinder to grass and plant-life
• Safe in environmentally sensitive areas
• Tread pattern improves traction
• All weather-applications

 Health and Safety

Health and safety is of paramount importance when installing, using, and recovering temporary roadways.

The non-slip tread pattern on the mats provides a safe surface for your workforce, with no trip hazards on the working surface.  The overlap design prevents soil and water penetration, resulting in a cleaner, safer working environment.

Dura-Base and the Environment

Using traditional aluminium or wood roadways can have a severe impact on the environment.  With Dura-Base’s unique design, less environmental damage occurs.

Landowners regularly voice concerns over damage to their property caused by temporary roadways.  Using the Dura-Base system, grassland and plants recover more quickly than with other types of temporary roads or platforms.

The Dura-Base overlap design does not allow ingress of mud and soil onto the mats. This reduces the spread of mud to the site, vehicles, and highways.  The mats are easily cleaned in both wet and dry conditions.
Once the Dura-Base mats are recovered from the site, there is less risk of contamination from soil-based viruses being transferred to other areas.

With an approximate shelf-life of 15 years, the Dura-Base mats can also be recycled, reducing environmentally damaging levels of waste.
